Just when I feel let down with things at work, something cropt out to my advantage I guess. 
Got an email from Mark of ABC - my former immediate boss - asking me to join ABC again.

We had another staff meeting today....
This time, to brief the staff on the new scheme of service which come into effect from 1 April 2005. Looks like most of the perks that we've been enjoying so far will be no longer applicable, particularly on the annual leave (which has been reduced substantially) and medical benefits. 
However, the Company's portion of the EPF contribution would be raised slightly from the minimum statutory requirement - this just a sweetener to whole exercise I guess. Most of my colleague not really satisfied with this but since this has been approved by the Board, its kinda difficult for us voice our grievences 
Hmm... prolly I have to seriously consider looking for another job now

Color Box DIY

I need to organise my magazines collection so I bought color box for that.
I really like color boxes - its versatile, easy to assemble and cheap. So spend the morning assembling the color box. It took me less than 30mins to do that and voila I have reading corner next to the couch - handy enough for me to stock my magazine and read them in between TV's commercials break.

Another earthquake hit Sumatera.... 
I was watching the late nite news last nite when the termor happened. Today, it is the front-page news on all the local dailies. Even The Sun has to come out with two version of the daily today, with and without news on the earthquake.
Just after lunch time, another termor occured while I was doing some work at the office today. It just lasted for few seconds and things get back to normal shortly. I hope that there will not be huge a catasthrophy as what happened on Boxing Day last year...

Construct and Demolish

Its looks like City Hall agrees with my view previously on the structure in front of Masjid India http://click.fotopages.com/?entry=264606&back=
Part of the structure now will be demolished so that the entarnce to the mosque will not be obstructed at all. But then again, its a waste of tax payers' money - the buitification project was only completed in November last year and part of it has to be demolished.
Some peoples in City Hall should be sacked for this!

The Haze is Back

The haze is back and its kindfa gloomy here in KL  Even the F1 race yesterday was held in haze (now thats so ryhme eh?) but luckily the visibility still alright for such high speed race.
However, prolly because of the haze the temperature today was not as hot as its expected to be - its forecasted that the temp will be at 41C due to the El-Nino phenomenon but its doesn't really happened that way.
Everything happened with some reasons behind it I guess...

Its the F1 weekend here in KL.
You know that the race is around the corner when you can spot F1 signs and paraphelias every where in the city, with lotsa activities as well - Force of Nature Concert (in aid of te Tsunami victims) were held last Friday and plenty of street parties (Toyota Rev etc) organised over the weekend.
I plan to go to Sepang for the race but couldn't make it, so I guess I'll just watched the race live on TV instead while enjoying that F1 bread - now that's really creative marketing gimmick

Dome Cafe had it "Aceh Orphan Aid" charity drive today - 100% of its takings would go to the Aceh's Tsunami Orphans.
I hardly go to Dome (its too sophisticated for me...) but went there today for some meal heading the advice of its press realease - "if you want to dine at Dome only once this year, make it today". So off I went to Dome today for a goodcause - to eat & (hopefully) to feed those needy orphans.... though its kinda ironic I guess ...

Its Saturday! Time for me to run some errants (banking etc) and get some form of entertainment
Watched Million Dollar Baby at GSC Berjaya Time Square - good movie. Hillary Swank was awesome in her Oscar worthy performance, same goes with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman.
