The farewell gift

Just a note from my friends and colleagues

It's my last day of working in this company!
I had mix feeling actually - happy yet sad, excited yet worry etc... After all, I've been with this company for almost four years with lotsa ups and down un between - made new friends, had new experiences etc. Anyway, life goes on for me and I've decided to leave, so I have to stand firm with my decision.
Even on this last day, I had to attend few things - my last minutes duty here. Only in the afternoon I managed to pack my stuff (2 boxes!). Later, my boss and colleague organised a small farewell party to me (with line dance performance in between, no less  )
Physically I will no longer be in the office from next week onward but on the record, I still the company's staff untill end of next month & can still keep the laptop until then 
Thanks all for the memorable experience that I had here!

Took a 1 day break frm work (its my seconf last day here in the Company!) for a short course in KLCC - its a follow up for that transcriber/translator work though I doubt I wanna do it again. Apparently, I was praised for the work that I've done and that might make me change my mind later on
After that, rushed to my Jelatek to do some measurement for the kitchen cabinet etc. Tried to use the broadband here but only realised later that I need to register & activate my account before I can use it...
I guess I am so non-IT savvy

I went to the company's panel clinic today for the first time.
Not that I'm really sick ( just a lil bit of flu) but just wanna try this clinic before I left the company. So at the persuasion of KNita & Rina ("pegile rasmikan klinik tu...) I went to the panel clinic today. After all, its me who recommended to the company to have at least one panel clinic close to the office when the company introduced that "claim-when-you-sick" scheme (http://click.fotopages.com/?entry=318342) earlier this year. The Big Boss finaly agreed & yippie we dont really have to pay out of our pocket whenever we go to this panel clinic
The clinic is quite good I think & the best part is the Company pays for it. I'm kinda touched when KNita refered to the clinic as my clinic as I'm the one who recommended for its establishment. I guess its be my legacy for all to remeber when I'm no longer around in the Company

I was pretty occupied for the weekend (actually from last Wednesday onward) as I took a part time job as a transcriber/interpreter for a market response project. It's really tiring as I have to record everything in verbatim and to do some translation as well...
Well the work was not as fun as I hope it'll be - unlike what my colleague SUR told me...  More so the timing was not right as I was pretty busy arranging for the house renovation works and clearing my works at the office.... Prolly this will be the first and last time I'm doing such work - after all I won't be having a laptop soon to do such work again in future

Its Monday... I hate Monday eventhough I'm on leave today - hate to think the fact taht I have to return to KL this afternoon and working again tomorrow...
Anyway, the morning view from Riviera's was lovely - wish I can have this view everyday rather that all those concrete jungle view that I have in KL...

Mother's Day in Riviera Bay
|
|
I'm celebrating this Mothers Day with mom & dad at Riviera Bay Resort - just a simple treat for my folks (prolly its 2 in 1 treats for both Mothers & Fathers Day too) . Too bad that the kids are not around - they'll definitely love the resort's pool.
Well we just hang around there watching tv - free and easy kind of thing. Too bad that I had to do my work after supper at Klebang beach - can't really enjoy the free and easy moment just like my parents...

The classified on rental of my apartment unit appeared today on the local dailies (both on-line and the hard copy versions). I hope that I'll get good response to it
News that I've tendered my notice of resignation has alos been widespread in my department as well as within the company. Now, I'll be the tird person to resign from the Company in this month alone but will be the firts one to left as my last day with the company is on 20.05.2005.

We had a small birthday celebration today for KZAN & KZURY - their birthdays are extra special this year as its on 5-5-05
Another significant of today is I've tendered my resignation.... It's a mix feeling when I decided to go but I hope I've made the right decision...
After considering few things and discussing with others (my parents, friends, HR personnel and even my boss) I guess its time for me to go for greener pesture, though my frens IS & RIQ (who used to work in ABC) don't really like the idea of me re-joining ABC... Well I know that there's no perfect working place (nothing is perfect in this world) but I just hope that I've made the right decision to re-join ABC ...

Off to Batu Pahat with my friends today for M's wedding. Congrats mate!
Its a 3 in 1 wedding so we anticipated a big crowd (and feast) at the wedding. Nevertheless, en-route we made a de-tour to Muar for its Mee Bandung. Though I plan to have a big meal for the nasi minyak at the wedding feast, the temptaion of Mee Bandung Muar is hard to resist  So had big meals today both in Muar (Mee Bandung Muar) & Batu Pahat (Nasi Minyak).
Luckily Batu Pahat's famous nasi beriani stall is closed today - so we have to settle for Otak-Otak instead for tea time
