Some more house matter

The main door's grile
Curtain
View of my unit from a neighbouring unit
Went to my unit in Jelatek today - to meet the contractor and make payment for the installation of the main-door's grile.

This is the firts time trhat I went there as a guess but I was still kinda happy. From the outside, its looks like the girls really take good care of my unit - they have put on the curtains etc. Even the contractor also commeneted that they are nice girls

One of those day...

It's one of those days when things kinda wrong at the office....

Most of the boses are not in the office, then there was a crisis of sort within the other department until my colleague Mas threaten to resign with 24hrs notice (she has prepared the resignation letter, just a matter of put in the date to the later...). Anyway, towards end of the day things at the office back to normal....

Looking at the brighter side, today's event gave us a good excuse to enjoy a lil bit. So after work, we headed to a nearby hotel to enjoy its buffet spread - when things goes wrong, don't panic, eat!

I guess I'll put on weight soon....

Let's eat and be merry! Sun 26-Jun-2005 06:38

Wi-Fi @ MyMart

Wi-Fi not working...
Hang around at MyMart tonite to check out it Wi-Fi - unfortunately, I can't browse at all there

The connection was good but I was having problem to browse - even MyMart's "technical staff" as well as its external technician (who called in to give step-by-step instruction to troubleshoot the matter) also can not ratify the situation. Worse, when I called the ISP I got a more confusing answer - I have to buy the Wi-Fi prepaid card or something but when I checked with MyMart staff I was told that its not required at all (and they don't even sell the prepaid card).

Really annoying.... though I appreciate the efforts taken by MyMart staff to address this problem, still I think my perception on Mydin group remain unchanged after this incident...

woops...guess i'll have to take back my previous comment Sun 26-Jun-2005 06:36

Sorry dude. I'm one of those chaps who is responsible for mymart WIFI setup. Normally, it should work fine. My team goes there alternate weeks to check and find that there is no issue there. The staff at mymart are not technical and not equiped to solve this issue. Again I do appologise for that and hope you will continue to visit our establishment. As for Mydin, I can assure you that its quite a cool setup and the only place I know where I can save about RM100 each time I shop there. No sales and no gimmicks, just the right price.

Cheers,
Dave

MyMart

Official Opening
MyMart
Yippie! A new convenience store opened around the neighbourhood today!

It is call "MyMart" and part of the Mydin Wholesale group, but I guess it will caters for more sophisticated/up-market segments. Well, I never like to shop in Mydin in the first place (can't stand the huge crowd there everyday...) but I guess this MyMart will be good for me - its open 24/7 and the best part is Wi-Fi is free here - should give it a try and I might have change of perception of the Mydin group

woo..Mydin sudah maju! Sun 26-Jun-2005 06:35

Tadau Keamatan & Gawai Dayak Open House

Tadau Keamatan & Gawai Dayak
The brochures
Stage show
View all 18 photos...
Went to the "Tadau Keamatan & Gawai Dayak Open House" tonite in Dataran Merdeka, KL.

As both of these native festivals are quite alien to KL folks, I think it is a god idea to bring and combine the national level open house celebration to KL for better understanding and national integrtaion. Both of the festivals are held to celebrate the end of the harvesting season - Tadau Keamatan is celebrated in the state of Sabah at the end of May while Gawai Dayak is celebrated in Sarawak in early June.

At the open house function, apart from the food (which is quite dissapointing to me as I am expecting stuff like Laksa Sarawak or Tabaloi, but what being served there were the normal food like Mee Hoon etc - which is commonly available in KL), there are various other activities like cutural show, stage performances, handycraft demonstration and the main highligth is the Unduk Ngadau and Kunang Gawai - the local beauty pageants held every year during these harvest festivals.

Hmm.... I wish that this Tadau Keamatan & Gawai Dayak Open House will be held every year in KL then

Eema - tuak takde tapi tatoo ada... Nanti up-date entry ni with more pics Thu 23-Jun-2005 14:41

Transcriber/Translator - again.

Laptop, casset player etc
Though I already said before (http://click.fotopages.com/?entry=440475) that I am not gonna do this work again, its seems that my previous work received good remarks from the market reserach company and they want me to do it again...

So, now I am occupied with another 2 assignments - this time more complicated as its involve medical terms (but they said I can do it better then the rest, judging from my previous work). Now its hard for me to say "NO" with such a complimet right?

Come to think of it, maybe I should stick to this freelance job I guess - its good to be appreaciated. Hmm... probably I should buy a new lap top soon to continue doing this job. Afterall, the fee that I received from it should be enough to cover the flexi-payment for the laptop

Keys hand over day

The Tenancy Agreement
The welcoming pack
Its the day when my right to the house is transferred to the tenant...

Its mixed feeling for me; relief that finaly I got a tenant and yet kinda sad like having to give my child for adoption (OK I am over re-act) I hope that they take good care of my baby...err house

So I met Mr Sysaga and his cousins at the house after work, gave him the "welcoming pack" ( the agreement, the keys, access cards etc) and helped him to sort out the matters with the security before I left home around 10.30 pm. From this point onwards, I am no longer entitle to enjoy the privillages here (gonna miss the pool and its jacuzzis ) for at least the next 2 years... Well its give and take, I can't eat the cake and keep it at the same time ...

Anyway, the the sad feeling is compensated with the payments that I received for the rental. Now I feel like buying another property (though I know that my parents won't like it as according to them I should have other priority and "invest in something else" rather then on properties.. )

OK, maybe I was so much influenced by Azizi Ali's "How to Become a Property Millionaire" (http://www.millionairesplanet.com/pro.html)

hello Mr. Landlord

hahaha.

More House Matters

Made a quick trip after office to the house to inspact works by the contractor.

Everything done nicely it seems - the curtain railings, the toilet hoses and the touch up works. But the ratification works have to wait when the developer's contractor is free...

Now the unit is ready for Mr Sysaga's cousins to occupy - it is them who can't wait to move in it seems - they must like my unit so much I guess

House Matters

Door stopper 1
Door stopper 2
Door stopper 3
I have to take leave today as I need to attend to few things regarding the house...

Bought the hose to be installed at the toilets, contacted the contarctor to do some touch up works and went to the management office to do the paper works & formality...

While I was there, made another round of house inspection for any defect - newly completed house is under wararnty for 18 months from the developer - looks like there are few ratification works to be done there as suggested by the building technician himself who accompanied me for the inspection

Installed few door-stoppers as well as I don't want the wall at the doors to be damaged should someone slam the doors later on....

Settling matters pertaining to a house is never easy... Sat 18-Jun-2005 15:00

Deal Close!

Dream Apatrtment
Yippie! Close a deal on the apartment today with Mr Sysaga!

He gave me the earnest deposit today after we both negotiated and agreed on the terms - well as we both deals direct (owner-tenant) its relatively easy without any middlemen involve. But there are few things that I need to do before he - actualy his cousin sisters - move in, and they want to move in ASAP. I need to install the curtain railings and toilet hose - its like a big issue to the girls it seem as currently the toilets' water source is closed except for the wash basin taps

Though the house is technically no longer mine, still I have a passion for it. So, off to Kinokuniya in the evening looking for some books on home improvement

At least one thing is settled... Sat 18-Jun-2005 15:01
